About Us:
This site was developed by Jay P. Granat, Ph.D. Since 1978, Dr. Granat has helped hundreds of individuals to achieve their fullest potential in sports, in their careers and in their personal lives. After having worked with many highly competitive people, Dr. Granat realized that many people wanted to learn how to "get in the zone and stay in the zone."
This site is devoted to teaching people how they can utilize this special state of consciousness as well as other techniques, tools, products and strategies to enhance their athletic performance.

What Do We Do?
We begin with a thorough analysis of the athlete's problem and then proceed with a careful evaluation on the range, the course, the court or the field. Sometimes, we use diagnostic tests to determine where the athlete is having difficulty and why
Then we show the athlete how they can get into the zone and how they can master the mental aspects of their game. Most people learn a combination of the following skills:
Positive Thinking
Hypnosis/Self-Hypnosis
Relaxation Training
Visualization

In addition, they learn about athletic strength and weaknesses within themselves which can help or hinder their ability to excel.
We also utilize video analysis and work closely with many coaches, instructors, and teaching professionals. It is quite common for us to be on the course, court or field with the athlete and his or her coach or parents.
