Sports Psychology, Shooting And Hypnosis

Several years ago, I was giving a seminar on putting to a group of competitive

golfers. During the class, four or five of the participants identified themselves

as serious shooters who competed in events throughout the United States.

At first, I was a bit surprised to have these people attending a seminar that

was designed for golfers. However, the shooters explained that putting is

very much like shooting.

In order to do well at putting and at shooting you need to be relaxed,

confident and focused. In addition, you need to have a methodical routine

before you pull the trigger.

Because of the similarities between putting and shooters, these attendees

found the seminar to be quite helpful. Furthermore, the hypnotic techniques

that I teach golfers as well as athletes from many other sports worked very well

for these shooters.

The shooters use the relaxation, confidence building and focusing exercises

when they practice, before they compete and while they compete. These

techniques can be found on How To Get In The Zone And Stay In The Zone
